CARMEN BRADSHAW Ballet.Pointe Instructor ATR Dance Experience Dance Experience Ballet. Pointe. Tap. Carman first started training when she was 16 years old. Under the performing arts director at West End Assembly of God church, she began training in tap and ballet. After 2 years, she added Modern dance to her schedule and trained for a year in that style. After training in modern, tap, and ballet for a total of 2 years she began to direct her path towards ballet. Leading to 2021, Carman decided to concentrate her skills training pre-professionally and in August 2021, Carman began her training at Richmond Academy of Ballet. She trained extensively under the direction of Michelle and Jack Bettin. Throughout her time at Richmond Academy of Ballet, she trained in various styles such as modern dance, pointe, contemporary, and jazz. While keeping up with dancing herself she shadowed teachers and learned about the stages of teaching and choreography. This drew her closer and grounded in the art form and from there she decided to study the path of teaching more vigorously while dancing still. This soon led from teaching 1 class to teaching and choreographing for more than 5 classes a week. Carman has fallen in love with dance since starting and loves sharing skills and creativity with the next generation of dancers. She hopes to bring inspiration and admiration of dance to all just like when she first was inspired by watching dancers on stage.
